Now we have a lovely partial conversion, Electrics (including Solar Panel), full lining, Webasto heater with OEM air vents, carbon monoxide detector, new LED strip lights, upgraded LED courtesy lights and fitted Van Shades blinds. After spending months and months researching different companies out there and checking out their work and what they offered we decided to go with Northshore. Apart from being local we could immediately see the standard of work they do is far superior to any other conversion work we had seen and you can just tell that they really do pride themselves in doing a good job. We had lining, bed, LPS, dashcam, solar panel, flooring and lots more work done.
Steve and Mike kept us informed of the progress, we had regular contact – phone calls, messages and photos throughout the build and everything was completed without any issues. 5*"Looks like something a millionaire would have’. That was the quote from my Mother in law when she first saw the van.
I picked up our van a few weeks ago and wow what a job! It looks beautiful. We gave Mike and Steve a challenging conversion as we requested lots of goodies and at first we had doubts that everything would fit, but Mike with the help of his CAD program managed to get it all to work. Our wanted list was excessive; extra to the standard rib bed/chair, fridge and table, we requested hot water, grey tank, solar panel, lithium battery, sliding flux bed, diesel hotplate, pod tailgate and more. Mike and Steve managed to fit all of these in seamlessly. They redesigned the furniture to accommodate the Flux bed and a specially designed tambour door cupboard enables the driver’s seat to rotate fully. Mike and Steve go well beyond being a VW van conversion company. From the minute you first meet them, their enthusiasm, dedication and attention to detail impress and the outstanding quality of the finished product makes Northshore stand out from the rest. We have ended up with our perfect van. Unfortunately after picking up the van and having planned our first trip, we were put on lockdown due to Covid-19 so have not yet been able to try it out. Although we can only look out of our front window and admire the T6’s beautiful sleek lines as it adorns our drive, I have however sat in it for many hours and yes, tonight, I might even sleep in it." 5*"We recently had out VW transporter converted by NCC. Steve and Mike were exceptional and helped us every step of the way. We visited them a couple of times to discuss options and they were so patient and had loads of great ideas.
They sourced the van for us and in the Spring carried out the work. Very comfortable rib bed, rotating passenger seat, lots of clever storage and lighting and a great wee kitchen. All finished to a very high standard. We live in Scotland and they were great at keeping us up to date and sent pictures of every stage of the work. 5*"Just got my T6 back after they converted it from a panel van with a Hilo roof already fitted. They installed a uberbus flux aka rib on rails, carpet lined the rear, swivel seats, swell shades, electric hook up and loads of other items for a stage 1 conversion.
The guys have a great attention to detail, provided updated pics during the install and gave great advice when helping to choose the finished product. For anyone who went to Mighty Dub Fest my van was on their stand and thanks to anyone who came to have a chat while I tried to control my two kids 😂. 5*"It's nearly a year since we collected our fully converted T5 from Steve & Mike. Deciding who to trust to do the work on our van and where to spend our £s was not easy... until I found Steve. His amazing approach to customer service was a real change to the complacent and "what you want doesn't fit the type of conversions we do" attitude we received from many of the more well known converters. The excellent service continued while the work was being done by going above and beyond to source parts for us, custom design bits we wanted and supplying regular updates on progress. Collecting the van is a day I will NEVER forget... First impressions were stunning. Closer inspection confirmed the quality of the work WAS stunning. And since then? Well, we don't call our T5 the "Memory Machine" for nothing. The whole family, all of our friends and loads of random people who approach us for a closer look all love it. It's been a great year for us with loads of amazing memories. The design we chose for the van works really well for us and the quality of the work Steve & Mike completed is still clear to see. 5*Took my 2005 LHD T5 4motion to Steve and Mike to fit a SCA194 pop up roof.
Couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. The guys kept me informed over the whole process, from ordering the roof to booking a convenient date for the installation, and provided pictures of every phase. Any time I had a question or wanted to know something they promptly replied and gave detailed answers. The quality of their work is absolutely top, and the friendly approach and effort to make the customer feel at home is what everybody wanting their vehicle converted should factor in when deciding who to go with. While I'm sure there are good other places to have a van converted, Northshore Custom Conversions is the only place I'll be taking my van for anything I'll want done in the future - hard to find people that will take the extra steps to turn the difficult and even the impossible to reality :-D Don't look further if you're interested in a conversion tailored to your needs ;-) Thanks again guys!
